National Assembly receives medical supplies

As COVID-19 continues to surge around the world and cases are on the increase in Seychelles, it is everyone’s responsibility to play their individual role in controlling the spread of the virus.

The Indian High Commission and the Indian Association of Seychelles have taken the initiative to support the National Assembly during this crisis by donating some useful items as part of precautionary measures against the spread of COVID-19.

This donation has been a welcoming one by the National Assembly to boost its own endeavor to continually monitor the health of its members, secretariat staff and also visitors to its precinct during this tasking time.

Speaker Nicholas Prea accepted the donation from Indian High Commissioner, General Dalbir Singh Suhag and Jamshed Pardiwalla, chairperson of the Indian Association of Seychelles in a short ceremony at the National Assembly on Thursday afternoon in the presence of secretariat staff and members of the association.

The donation comprises 500 face masks, an infrared thermometer, a BP machine and a glucometer.
