Local government ministry outlines mandate, functions and operations

Minister for Local Government & Inner Islands, Eveline Rose, appeared before the National Assembly on Tuesday to provide an overview of her ministry’s mandate, functions and operations.

Minister Rose outlined the ministry’s institutional and operational responsibilities, its relationship with district administration offices and communities, its role in relation to the inner islands, and its priorities for the coming year.

She said the ministry's mandate is to facilitate the delivery of quality, inclusive and citizen-centred public services at district and community levels.
