One Seychelles to hold convention on June 27

The ‘One Seychelles’ political party has confirmed that it will be holding its national convention on Praslin on June 27, 2020 at which it will announce its Presidential candidate and running mate for the 2020 elections.

Peter Sinon, the secretary general of One Seychelles has said that “no effort will be spared to observe COVID-19 social distancing guidelines for the occasion”.

The party's national executive committee will be joined by only designated representatives for the 26 electoral districts for this convention to ensure that One Seychelles abides by the public health guidelines.

Alain St Ange, President of One Seychelles, said on his part that the party needed to hold the convention to formalise the Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates and also to launch the party's 2020 electoral manifesto.

“We have walked the districts, we have listened to the electorate and we drafted a manifesto based on their aspirations and expectations,” said Mr St Ange.
