Seychelles Clerk takes part in Australian parliamentary training
From May 20 to 26, 2026, the Clerk of the National Assembly of Seychelles, Tania Isaac, participated in the Inter-Parliamentary Study Programme (IPSP) in Canberra, hosted by the Parliament of Australia.
The programme is designed to enhance understanding of parliamentary processes, structures, and operations among parliamentary staff, using the Australian Parliament as a benchmark, while encouraging the exchange of best practices.
This year’s IPSP brought together 14 senior parliamentary staff from diverse legislatures – ranging from unicameral and bicameral systems to Westminster and Presidential models. Participants represented countries as varied as Canada, Turkey, Seychelles, Kenya, Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand, Tonga, Uganda, and Zambia.
