Seychelles and Russia sign landmark sports cooperation agreement
Minister for Youth & Sports Kalsey Belle attended the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, where she signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of physical culture and sport. The agreement was the centrepiece of a wide-ranging programme of engagements undertaken during the visit.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU), signed between the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Seychelles, establishes a five-year framework for long-term collaboration based on mutual benefit and knowledge sharing. It covers elite and grassroots sport, sports science and education, infrastructure and management, anti-doping initiatives, sports for persons with disabilities, and the development of innovative sports technologies. Provisions include delegation exchanges, training programmes, and joint initiatives.
