‘No one is above the law’ – Vice-President Pillay

Vice-President Sebastien Pillay addressed the National Assembly yesterday in response to a private notice question concerning the operation conducted in the VIP lounge at the Seychelles International Airport on Monday, stressing that no one is above the law.
The operation involved former President Wavel Ramkalawan and his bodyguard, Anil Bristol, who, upon returning to the country from an overseas conference, were subjected to a full body and baggage search. The private notice question (PNQ) was raised by the leader of the opposition, Hon. Bernard Georges.
