Accident and Emergency department to close temporarily today

The Accident and Emergency department of the Seychelles Hospital will be temporarily closed today, Wednesday April 1, 2026 between 8am and 8pm due to emergency renovation work.

This measure is being undertaken to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for both patients and staff. The English River Health Centre will deal with all emergency cases during this period.

During the closure of the Accident and Emergency department, members of the public are kindly advised to seek medical services at the English River Health Centre which will be open from 8am to 10pm.

The Accident and Emergency department will resume its normal operations at 8pm today.

The Ministry of Health regrets any inconveniences that this may cause and count on the usual support and cooperation of members of the public.
