The Youth Hope Centre is expected to be completed by October this year, if everything goes according to plan.

The statement was made by the Minister for Education and Human Resource Development, David Pierre who visited the construction site at the former Cable & Wireless station, Bon Espoir, Montagne Posée yesterday afternoon. He was accompanied by the Minister for Social Affairs, Family and Equality, Pamela Charlette.

The foundation stone for the centre was laid in April 2025. The R65 million Youth Hope Centre being constructed by The Furui Construction company, represents a proactive and strategic response to rising national concerns over youth anti-social behaviour. Designed as a secure, modern facility, the centre will accommodate around 120 young individuals, with the hope of fostering personal development and positive change.
