Nouvobanq re-opens branch at Eden Plaza

The Nouvobanq branch at Eden Plaza

Nouvobanq has reopened its branch at Eden Plaza, Eden Island, after undergoing a few months of renovation

The digital reopening of the revamped and modern banking facility was held via video in the presence of the Governor of the Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS), Caroline Abel; the member of the National Assembly for Roche Caiman, Audrey Vidot; the district administrator, Bernadette Rosalie; the chief executive of Nouvobanq, Christophe Edmond; his deputy, Philippe Pierre; Nouvobanq board members among other guests.

The banking outlet for cash, non-cash and digital banking transactions facility opened in July 2013 but closed down late 2022 for renovation.

Apart from aesthetic touches, the branch has undergone structural changes to benefit both staff and customers.

The conduciveness of the outlet provides customers with comfort and privacy while they do their banking transactions.

The digital and modernised products and services on offer at the Eden branch are corporate account, savings account, fixed deposit, credit facilities and payment transfers (in local and foreign currency), on-line banking applications among others, including an ATM service,  put together with the aim of providing customers with a high level of service.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Edmond said that reopening of the branch means that Nouvobanq is aiming to continue to put its customers first, it consistently provides the type and level of service to its customers, it remains responsive to queries and provides timely feedbacks and continues to innovate and to reach out to the community by contributing to the socio-economic growth of the country, among others.

“For the bank, customer service excellence remains central to success, and while we still hold the number one accolade in this category, in relation to other banks, we intend to maintain it for a very long time,” said Mr Edmond, who called on customers from the South of Mahé and in the vicinity of Eden Island, to visit the branch as it will save them ample banking time.

The branch of eight staff will be under the guidance of manager Lynn Ah-Tave.

She said that while embarking on the digital journey, they will be transforming a number of their internal processes to better meet their customers’ needs and improve their digital offering such as the online banking application and mobile app.

She added that the re-opening of the Eden branch forms part of Nouvobanq’s decentralisation policy in its effort to come closer to its customers through the provision of products and services.

“We all know that an improved working space contributes greatly to staff productivity and Eden branch provides just that, a favourable environment for colleagues to operate within while we try to deliver on our vision,” Mrs Ah-Tave said.

Two current customers, Marsha Parcou and Savitha Prakesh, who shared their banking experience, commended the Eden branch for its excellent service.

The branch opens Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 2.30pm and on Saturday from 8.30am to 11am.

Apart from the Eden Branch, Nouvobanq also has a branch based in the New Horizon Complex Building at Baie St Anne on Praslin and one at La Passe on La Digue, including a kiosk situated at the Seychelles International Airport. It also maintains various ATMs across the country.
