Parliamentarians for Climate Finance Project

Seychelles chosen as the first country to host workshop

Parliamentarians of Seychelles, along with the youth parliament, are participating in the first-ever workshop organised by the Parliamentarians for Climate Finance – an international, cross-party network of members of Congress and Parliament.

The two-day session at the Savoy Resort starts today.

The Parliamentarians for Climate Finance project is designed to support lawmakers in 15 African countries – Botswana, Côte d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe – in mobilising climate finance and implementing policies that accelerate the transition to renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure.

It is led by the Climate Parliament and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (Unido), with support from the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
