The State House building is undergoing significant repainting work aimed at enhancing its aesthetic appeal and preserving its historical grandeur.
Serving as the official residence and office of the President since its construction in 1949, the building is a central part of the country's identity and governance.
The repainting is part of ongoing efforts to maintain and protect the building's architectural integrity. The State House is a symbol of the Seychellois people’s evolution and their national identity, shaped by both colonial and immigrant influences. Renovations dating back to 2006 focused on restoring the colonial charm of the structure while incorporating modern features to meet the needs of contemporary governance.
