Ocean Basket charts a steady course from bycatch to centre stage
Ocean Basket Seychelles has become a familiar name in the local fishing and food supply chain, but its journey began far from shop counters and supermarket shelves.
What started as a small family operation focused on bycatch exports has grown into a multi-faceted business, that is supplying the local market, supporting fishers, and introducing new seafood options to consumers.
Seychelles NATION met with part-owner Louis Bossy and his son, Julius Bossy, at their main Providence factory, to understand how the company has evolved, the thinking behind its expansion, and the challenges that come with growth.
