President Ramkalawan sends message of condolence to Indonesia |28 April 2021

President Wavel Ramkalawan has sent a message of condolence and solidarity to the President of the

Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, following the tragic news of the wreck of the Indonesian navy submarine, claiming the lives of 53 crew members.

“In this moment of national grief and great sorrow, please allow me, on behalf of the government and people of Seychelles, and on my own behalf, to extend our most heartfelt condolences and sympathies to you, the families of the victims and everyone affected by this tragic loss.

“I am convinced that the spirit of unity and courage of the Indonesian people will serve as pillars in the healing process following this painful ordeal. We offer our prayers and comfort to the families, friends and loved ones profoundly impacted by this tragedy,” concluded President Ramkalawan.
