Official Gazette goes digital |04 January 2021
As of January 1, 2021, the Official Gazette will be published in digital form on a designated website in accordance with Digitization and Publication of Gazette Act, 2020.
The website is www.gazette.sc.
The first publication consists of the Civil Code Act of Seychelles, 2020 (Act 1 of 2021) as supplement. However, the Civil Code of Seychelles Act will not commence its operation on the date of the publication of the Act. It will commence operation and apply when the President issues the commencement notice. A printed copy of the Civil Code of Seychelles Act will be on sale for R1400 and any person may place an order for a copy at the Attorney General’s office.
The intention for such digital publication is for the Gazette to be digitally accessible to any person, free of charge.
However, any person wishing to publish any notice in the Gazette will continue to pay the applicable fee for the publication.
The Gazette will be published on Mondays or as Extraordinary Gazette on any other day that the Attorney General may direct.
All Bills and Act will be published in Extraordinary Gazette.
If any person wants to subscribe for a digital notification of any new publication of the Gazette or certification of a copy of the Gazette by the Attorney General or the Editor of the Gazette, such services will be available for fee. In regards digital notification, a form will be available on the website for online completion and submission.
If a person wants to subscribe for the Gazette throughout the year in a printed form or provided with any copy of the Gazette in printed form, an application shall be made to the Editor of the Gazette at the Attorney General’s Chamber, National House, Victoria, and the printed copy will be provided for a fee that the Attorney General will determine from time to time.
