President assents to Digitization and Publication of Gazette Act, 2020 |19 August 2020

President Danny Faure has assented to the Digitization and Publication of Gazette Act, 2020, which was passed by the National Assembly on July 22, 2020 and submitted to the President on August 11, 2020.

The Digitization and Publication of Gazette Act, 2020, will allow the Office of the Attorney General to gradually fade out the outsourcing of the Official Gazette and printing services and at the same time make the gazette, the laws of Seychelles and Government Notices more accessible to the public, donors, partners and international community.

The department of Legal Affairs will also be able to establish and maintain a website where the public can access all gazette notices, Bills, Acts, statutory instruments and any other government information.
