Cyril Bonnelame appointed interim CEO of SFA |25 March 2020

President Danny Faure has appointed Cyril Bonnelame as the interim chief executive of the Seychelles Fishing Authority (SFA), pending the finalisation of recruitment to fill the post.

Mr Bonnelame, who has considerable management experience in the fisheries sector, was appointed chairman of the SFA on February 15, 2020.

The post of CEO SFA had remained vacant since the departure of former CEO Ronny Renaud in 2019.

The President said that it was vital that the post of CEO did not remain vacant at a time when the country needed to boost the contribution of the fisheries sector to the national economy, especially in view of the adverse impact of COVID-19 on other economic sectors.
