• Former President Danny Faure delivers anniversary lecture
The University of Seychelles (UniSey) celebrated its 17th anniversary yesterday with a commemorative lecture by former President Danny Faure, now chair of the Board of Governors of the Commonwealth of Learning (COL). His keynote, themed ‘Re‑imagining Higher Education for Island Futures’, reflected on UniSey’s journey and its role in shaping the nation’s future.
The event at the SITE auditorium was attended by First Lady Veronique Herminie, the Minister for Foreign Affairs & the Diaspora Barry Faure, University Council chairperson Dr Bernard Valentin, members of the diplomatic corps, executive staff, students and alumni.
