Former VP Ahmed Afif testifies on Travizory contract |12 September 2026
Ahmed Afif, former Vice-President of Seychelles from October 27, 2020 to November 4, 2025, has provided testimony before the Commission of Inquiry into the Border Management Agreement with Travizory.
Mr Afif started to give his testimony on Thursday and continued yesterday. He explained that upon assuming office, he inherited a contract already signed by the previous administration under President Danny Faure.
The agreement, initially intended to run from December 2019 to August 2020, had already come into force by September 2020. When Mr Afif entered office in October, a technical committee was overseeing its implementation.
