New association launched to reshape drug response

 

The Seychelles Association of People Who Used Drugs (SeyPwUD) was officially launched yesterday at the Roche Caiman district administration in the presence of President Patrick Herminie.

SeyPwUD is a community-led organisation representing and empowering people with lived experience of drug use. Its mission is rooted in health, dignity, human rights, social inclusion, peer support, education, advocacy, and meaningful participation in national policies and programmes. At its core lies a principle: people affected by drug use must not only be spoken about – they must be part of the conversation and actively involved in solutions.
