CBS Governor Caroline Abel steps down from post

Caroline Abel yesterday tendered her letter of resignation to President Patrick Herminie, relinquishing her post as the Governor of the Central Bank of Seychelles (CBS).

The resignation will take effect from September 16, 2026.

Pending the appointment of a new Governor, the First Deputy Governor, Brian Commettant, will assume responsibility for the management and operations of CBS in the capacity of chief executive officer, in accordance with section 6(6) of the CBS Act, 2004, as amended.
