First Kenya Night strengthens community bonds in Seychelles

Approximately 300 Kenyans, Kenyan-born residents, and friends of Kenya gathered at the Anse Etoile community centre on Saturday, July 4, for the inaugural Kenya Night 2026, organised by the newly established Kenyan Diaspora Association of Seychelles.

The celebration marked an important milestone for the Kenyan community in Seychelles, serving both as the association’s first official gathering and as a commemoration of Madaraka Day, which celebrates Kenya’s attainment of internal self-governance on June 1.
