Young photographer shares skills through hands-on workshops

In Seychelles’ growing creative space, young entrepreneur and photographer Alexandre Belle – known online as ShutterLex – is working to make photography more accessible through practical, field-based workshops designed for beginners.

This year, he has already facilitated two workshops for aspiring photographers eager to learn the craft.

Speaking about his motivation, Alexandre told Seychelles NATION that the idea came directly from public interest and his desire to make learning more hands-on.

“I have had a few people mention they would love to learn more about photography and get into it, and I prefer to do a workshop in the field rather than in a meeting room explaining,” he said, adding that he wanted participants to learn in real environments where they could immediately apply what they were being taught.
