Steer clear of crash diets

 

Some people are willing to go to great lengths to try and lose weight rapidly. They are willing to try any product – be it slimming teas, dietary supplements, ‘special’ foods and/or diet pills. These can all be grouped together quite simply as crash diets.

Crash diets is exactly as it sounds – a diet that promotes rapid weight loss in a short period. Crash diets typically restrict calories (energy) through the exclusion of certain foods or entire food groups. It may make certain health claims without robust scientific evidence and provides no nutritional or health benefits.
