Seychelles celebrates the 156th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi
On October 2, the birth of Mahatma Gandhi is celebrated worldwide. In Seychelles, the birth anniversary of the Father of the Indian Nation and a world citizen was celebrated at the Peace Park, Victoria, where a statue of him stands.
The small ceremony began with a prayer by Ryan Bharadwaj. The Indian high commissioner (HC), Rohit Rathish, then related the story of Mahatma Gandhi.
