PSCE teachers train under Parliamentary Learning Space programme

Eleven Personal, Social, Citizenship and Economic Education teachers from state and private secondary institutions, including a representative of the hearing impaired, are participating in a three-day training session to enhance their knowledge in civic education, especially with regard to the role, work, and function of the National Assembly of Seychelles in a democracy.
They are the first cohort of the Teacher’s Parliamentary Learning Space (TPLS) – a programme by the National Assembly initiated by the Commonwealth, which allows teachers to receive resource materials including training to enhance citizenship education in classrooms.
