Centenarian Willy Thérésine celebrates 101st birthday

Willy Thérésine, the only male centenarian in Seychelles, celebrated his 101st birthday in a heartwarming gathering at his residence in Forêt Noire on Saturday.

The special day was marked by a memorable surprise as President Wavel Ramkalawan and First Lady Linda Ramkalawan turned up at his residence to wish him a joyful happy birthday. Also in attendance were the elected member for Mont Fleuri in the National Assembly Hon. Michel Roucou, director general for Community Affairs, Denise Clarisse, district administrator for Mont Fleuri, Steve Noël, family and friends.

Mr Thérésine also received a blessing from President Ramkalawan. Moreover, he was presented with bouquets of flowers, cake and hampers from the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs and the Mont Fleuri district.
