Boosting cooperation between countries in combating illicit maritime activities
The Cutlass Express exercises held over the years have helped in getting countries within the region to team up and equip themselves to combat illicit maritime activities, to a point that if the exercise does come to an end, they will be able to handle the situations on their own.
This was said by the director of the Regional Coordination and Operations Centre (RCOC), Sam Gonthier, when speaking at a press conference yesterday at the RCOC at Bois de Rose in relation to the 15th Cutlass Express Exercise 2025 currently taking place in the country.
