PUC makes significant strides in resolving fault affecting underwater cable |17 February 2025

Following the damage to the underwater cable supplying electricity to the inner islands on Wednesday night, and continued repair efforts, the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC) yesterday announced that its team successfully managed to physically locate the second fault at approximately 800m off the coast of Cerf island.
Further to this new development, the team immediately prepared for the repair process, which includes installing a new length of cable, measuring 300m, to bypass the faulty area, and undertaking jointing works.
