Volume of waste nearing pre-pandemic levels, says LWMA |19 October 2024
The Landscape and Waste Management Agency collected 95.01 tons of waste on Mahe, during the two-week ‘Clean Up the World’ campaign.
A number of activities were organised for this year’s campaign, which ran from September 16-30, including a recycling fair at the Camion Hall, radio quizzes, tree-planting and media awareness programmes. There were also regular district-level clean-ups, under both the Clean Up the World, (CUW) and Clean Up Seychelles campaigns.
