Fifth and seventh-place finishes for Team Seychelles

Seychelles’ cyclists competing at the 11th Indian Ocean Islands Games could only manage fifth and seventh-place finishes in the 62km team time trial yesterday at the Marais Massay Station in Jovena.

Team A, made up of Ahmad Arissol, Dominic Arrisol, Jayden Sinon and Mario Ernesta finished fifth overall in 1 hour, 27 minutes 43.34 seconds (1h27:43.34), while Team B, comprising Stephen Belle, Julian Pool, Jahdel Gabriel and Jeff Esparon, were ranked seventh overall in 1h30:31.16

The competition was won by the Mauritians in 1h20:19.87, followed by Reunion in second place, clocking 1h20:24.14.
