President Faure extends condolences to Bahamas |06 September 2019

President Danny Faure has sent a message of condolence to the Governor General of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Cornelius A. Smith, upon learning of the devastating impact of hurricane ‘Dorian’, which has claimed many lives and left behind a trail of destruction of homes and other infrastructure.

“In the wake of this tragedy, the government and people of Seychelles join me in extending our sincere condolences and solidarity to you personally, the government,  the families of the victims and the people of the Bahamas, during these moments of national grief”, wrote President Faure in his message.
