Hon. Samynadin attends 1st plenary assembly on development and international solidarity in Paris

Hon. Kelly Samynadin

Hon. Kelly Samynadin participated in the 1st Plenary Assembly of the Conseil National Du Developpment et de la Solidarite internationale in Paris, France earlier this month.

The aim of the council is for the French government to work in partnership with the civil society and other concerned stakeholders to find ways on how to improve public and political coherence.

In addition, the council also targets means to aid citizens where development is concerned.

Hon. Samynadin has been a member of the College of ‘Personnalité Etrangère’ for three years and actively brought forward propositions in the discussions that took place.

During her trip she also had the opportunity to meet the new French secretary of state, Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, who is also the chair of the assembly.

Hon Samynadin stated that “It’s a pleasure for me to be and play an important part in contributing as an international stakeholder in the French international affairs, as the civil society somewhat drives its economy in many ways.”
