Danny Faure Media Awards 2021 competition launched |15 January 2022
The Danny Faure Foundation has announce the launch of the Danny Faure Media Awards 2021 competition.
The Awards aim to encourage reporting that promotes Transparency, Accountability and Good Governance (TAGG), hence raising public awareness, understanding and participation.
The press has a crucial role to promote TAGG by keeping the public informed on the social, economic, and political activities happening in the country.
It will be the first time that a competition is held in Seychelles to reward journalists and media organisations for their work promoting TAGG.
The Danny Faure Media Awards 2021 competition is open to local journalists and media houses in the categories of print, radio, television and digital media.
Entries for the competition must be works that have been published or broadcast between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021. All works submitted must be original and in conformity with copyright requirements.
The winner of each category will be announced on May 3, 2022 to coincide with the UN World Press Freedom Day.
Entry forms with all the required information typed in and signed should be forwarded to secretary@dannyfaurefoundation.org by March 31, 2022.
Interested journalists and media houses may obtain more information and entry forms on the Foundation’s website www.dannyfaurefoundation.org
