Au Cap and Anse Aux Pins primary benefit from jubilee donations

As Seychelles marks the 50th anniversary of its independence, schools across the country are playing a central role in the celebrations, receiving gifts that reflect both progress and investment in the nation's future.

Au Cap and Anse Aux Pins primary schools yesterday received educational and cultural resources on behalf of President Patrick Herminie. The presentations were made during ministerial visits that highlighted the government's commitment to supporting education during the golden jubilee year.

Vice-President Sebastien Pillay and Minister for Education David Pierre led the visits, delivering the gifts as part of the President's initiative to assist schools nationwide.

At Au Cap primary, pupils and staff welcomed the donation of a 50-inch television, a surround-sound system and stationery. The school's headteacher described the gesture as a meaningful show of support and goodwill, noting that the equipment would enrich the learning environment and make lessons and group activities more interactive and engaging.
