Rotary Club lottery winners receive prizes |26 April 2017
Winners of the annual lottery by Rotary Club of Victoria (RCV) have received their prizes, with the star prize ̶ a brand new Toyota Rav 4 car sponsored by RCV & Abhaye Valabji Limited ̶ going to Allen Laporte from Bel Ombre.
The winners were rewarded in a small ceremony held on Monday afternoon at the Golden Plate restaurant.
It was Allen’s wife, Juliana Laporte, who accepted the brand new car on his behalf.
“We are so proud to be the lucky winners of the lottery. Rotary is an organisation that helps raise money annually for charity, and being part of such great gesture is a honour,” she said.
The first prize, a return ticket to Mauritius and a cash prize of R3000 sponsored by Vijay Construction, went to Kelvin Octave from Sans Soucis.
Varun Bharath Thanapathi from Bois De Rose is the winner of the second prize, a cash prize of R10,000 sponsored by Eden Island.
The third prize went to Juliet Chetty from Cascade and she won an IPad Air & six months’ free data package sponsored by Cable & Wireless.
Other prizes included a Samsung Galaxy six sponsored by Airtel, a refrigerator sponsored by V.J Patel, HP Laptop sponsored by Raja Sundaram, Two HB night stay at Cerf Island sponsored by Cerf Island Resort, cash prize of R6000 sponsored by Jalan Nathan, LED 40’’ TV sponsored by Dr Murthy’s Clinic, Sinsung Aircon sponsored by Electronics 2000, HIFI music system sponsored by Suketu Patel, washing machine sponsored by Dr Brewer, gas cooker oven sponsored by Arcadia Imports, Tablet sponsored by Sahajanand Builders and LED 32’’ TV sponsored by Brijesh Jiva.
The President of RCV, Jalan Nathan, thanked all the sponsors for making the lottery a success, and everyone who took part by buying tickets.
