Football Local coaches benefit from knowledge of top Danish coach |15 December 2016
Coaches from various teams in the country are benefiting from the knowledge and experience of one of Denmark’s top coaches in a one-week course during which they will learn various coaching techniques which they can apply to their sides in the future.
Jan Poulsen was the assistant coach of the Denmark national side in 1992 when the team won the Euro (European Championship) and carries a wealth of experience which will surely benefit the 20 coaches who are taking the course.
The course, which began on Monday, will end on Friday and coach Poulsen has said the coaches will be working on various aspects throughout the week.
“We have worked on defence first, where we had theoretical and practical sessions,” said coach Poulsen.
He added: “For coaches to be successful there are a lot of things needed, such as good knowledge of the game, discipline, along with good man-management among a lot of other things.”
The course is taking place at the Maison Football, Roche Caïman and it is expected that local coaches will make the most and grab as much knowledge as possible from coach Poulsen and later make full use of it with their clubs.
