Four Seasons named best resort in the Indian Ocean |25 January 2016

Four Seasons Resort Seychelles has been named best resort in the Indian Ocean in the 2015 Gallivanter's Awards for Excellence, by luxury travel advisory Gallivanter's Guide.

The resort secured almost half of all votes in this category, with a score of 42%.

These annual awards are the results of votes cast by the publication's subscribers – a readership that represents more than 40 countries.

Further to the success of the resort, the awards also saw Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts recognised as the Best Hotel Group Worldwide, through a score of 54%.

Commenting on the award recognition, General Manager Adrian Messerli, said: "This is a wonderful accolade for our resort. To have secured such a high rating is truly a testament to the exceptional levels of service delivered by our team, who are able to create such memorable experiences for each one of our guests to enjoy in the paradise of Seychelles."

Situated on the horseshoe-shaped bay of Petite Anse, Four Seasons Resort Seychelles offers treetop-living in private pool villas, with an award-winning hilltop spa and a powder-white beach running the length of the bay.

Tourism and Culture Minister Alain St Ange has joined Sherin Naiken, the chief executive of the Seychelles Tourism Board, and Anne Lafortune, the principal secretary for tourism, to say congratulations to Four Seasons Seychelles GM Adrian Messerli and his team for receiving the award.

"Today as you are receiving such a recognition on a world stage you are doing the Seychelles brand of tourism credit. The spirit of working together for Seychelles pays dividends for you as a resort and for the islands’ visibility. When the tourism industry of Seychelles is working the people of our islands are assured of a better future," said Minister St Ange.
