NSC opens investigation in sex-related incident in South Africa |11 July 2015
The persons allegedly involved in a sex-related incident during the ongoing weightlifting training camp in South Africa will be repatriated so as to initiate an official investigation.
In a communiqué released yesterday, National Sports Council chief executive Giovanna Rousseau wrote that the sports authority has been informed by the Seychelles Weightlifting Federation of an alleged incident involving a minor athlete while on training camp in South Africa.
The communiqué adds that “steps are being taken to repatriate the alleged involved persons so as to initiate an official investigation”.
