Football - Premier League stars enjoy the Seychelles |09 July 2015

With the European league season at a halt as players await the start of the new season, most players use the time to get some well-deserved breaks at their favourite holiday destinations.

Over the years we have had numerous stars choosing Seychelles as their destination of choice, including 2014 World Cup winner Mario Götze, Patrick Vieira, Rio Ferdinand, Didier Deschamps among others.

This holiday, a number of stars have chosen to come to our islands to soak up the sun and enjoy some quiet time away from the glitz and glamour of their European lives.

Among them is Manchester City and England number one goalkeeper Joe Hart. According to reports, Hart is holidaying here with his newly-wed wife Kimberly Crew. They are reportedly at North Island Resort.

The England goalkeeper and his new bride married late last month in a secret venue in Florence accompanied by their close friends and family.

Manchester United defender Phil Jones took time to unwind with his girlfriend Kaya Hall in the Seychelles after helping Louis Van Gaal’s side wrap up a fourth-place finish in the Premier League. Reports suggest the defender stayed at the luxury Four Seasons Hotel at Baie Lazare and he posted a series of pictures on his Instagram account, as seen below.

The 23-year-old defender made 22 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils during Van Gaal’s first season in charge at Old Trafford.

Most recently though, there are reports that other players spent their holidays here and they include Swansea City’s Icelandic midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, Arsenal and France forward Olivier Giroud and fellow Frenchman Mathieu Flamini.
