Artist Nourrice shares skills in evening classes

Learners during one of the sessions run by artist Colbert Nourrice

Now he wants to share his knowledge and expertise with other people and has started to hold art classes every Thursday evening at the ex-College of the Art and Design building, Mont Fleuri.

Those interested will be able to learn painting techniques and how to use papier-maché, among other subjects.

Mr Nourrice, who has developed a narrative style using signs, symbols and motifs to form striking linear and cyclical images, said the sessions will also be a way for interested learners to relax.

The sessions, which run from 4.30pm until 6pm, will promote the different art forms and help students develop their art skills.

“During the sessions the learners will not only learn new skills and techniques, but it will also be a form of therapy for them. It will be like a pastime,” he said.

The artworks created by the students will be exhibited at the end of the year.
