‘Creole Festival’ concert to be staged in London |17 October 2009
The Vibrasyon Kreol concert is being staged by UK-based entertainment firm Palm Entertainment – a subsidiary of Seycel Group Investment owned by Daniel Vadivello, the ex-singer of Misterious.
The organisers hope the show, made possible with support from Air Seychelles, will be the first of many in an overseas version of the Creole Festival celebrated in Seychelles every year during the last week of October.
The show will feature top artists from Seychelles who are not involved in the local concert, including sega king Francois Havelock, who will be making his first appearance in London, with a full live band.
Also on the bill will be Philip Toussaint, a favourite with the London Seychellois community.
The promoter hopes to start marketing the Creole Festival overseas so Seychellois who cannot make it home to celebrate, as well as visitors to London, can enjoy the Creole culture.
The concert will be hosted at Simis Nightclub at Hounslow West, also under the management of Palm Entertainment. It will be recorded live to be made available to the Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation.
Palm Entertainment is also planning a major concert to coincide with the festive season. Artists have been shortlisted but are yet to be confirmed.
