Petanque-Chang-Time, Ernesta, Lalaina display superiority in tête-à-tête tournaments

A member of the Mont Buxton club, Sheila Chang-Time, who has won the best female player Women’s tête-à-tête winner Sheila Chang-Timeof the year award a number of times, triumphed in the ladies’ event. Laura Joubert was second and Marie-May Savy third.

The junior competition was dominated by players from the Mont Buxton club. James Ernesta defeated Sheila’s son – Nicholas Chang-Time – in the final and Sheena Mangroo finished third.

In last Sunday’s men’s tournament, Malagasy Tsiry Lalaina upset Seychelles’ number one player Roland Renaud on a 13-8 score in the highly anticipated final.

Loser to Lalaina in the semifinal, Auguste Louise completed the medals podium by beating Bernard Chang-Time 13-0 in the third place play-off encounter.
