Golf-Rizvi boys win Home 2 Office competition |10 October 2008
The duo of Gibran, 15, and Marej, 13, were one of the 20 teams who turned up at the Seychelles Golf Club, Anse Aux Pins, for the partnership competition.
Displaying great qualities, Gibran and Marej, whose future as golfers looks bright as they are disciplined and train regularly to perfect their game, finished with a total of 47 points.
Despite their efforts and playing their best golf, the partnership of Alix Esparon and Margaret Pragassen could manage only 45 points to finish as runners-up, while Jocelyn Ah-Yu and Charles Morin were third with 43 points.
The prizes were presented to the winners during an evening function. Brigitte Ferrari, managing director of Home 2 Office, gave out the prizes and she was assisted by Faisal Parkar, deputy CEO of Star-Knit Trading.
On the same night, there was also the draw for the raffle and the lucky winner of the 50-inch Xoro flat-screen TV, kindly donated by the sponsors, was Joe Morin.
Club captain Francis Mondon spoke of the members’ appreciation towards the sponsors for their support of the Seychelles Golf Club and their annual sponsorship of a golf competition.
Mrs Ferrari thanked the competitors and promised to hold a similar competition next year.
