Female bodybuilder – Maggie Sally – also gave a demonstration, flexing her muscles much to the satisfaction of the Praslin crowd.
Camille, who came close to winning the coveted Mr Seychelles title on numerous occasions, won R5,000 and one year’s free training at the Goals Gym.
Silver medallist in the masters 90-kg category at the Mr Africa 2008 contest in Mauritius, Pierre Servina, 43, finished second to win R3,000 and six months’ free training at the same gym.
Cyril Rabat completed the medals podium with a third-place finish for R1,500 and three months’ free training.
All the other competitors will be able to train free of charge at the Goals Gym for three months.
Jacques-Alain Hoareau, the man behind the contest and proprietor of the Goals Gym, said: “The contest was a success. The turnout was good and we sold more than 200 tickets.
“We have been asked to organise the Mr Praslin contest next year, but it won’t be easy. This is because there are only four active bodybuilders on Praslin. To organise such an event, there must be at least eight.”
