According to the chairperson of the MSIBP, Susie Pierre, the pageant this year will again be held under the umbrella of Spice Entertainment (Pty) Limited, the entertainment company holding the rights to the event.
She says the organising committee will work closely with the Seychelles Tourism Board and the local tourism industry as their aim is to promote Seychelles as a unique tourism destination to the outside world. This is why they have decided to set up their own website, which will be launched during tomorrow night’s ceremony.
The night will end with a disco party.
It is expected that all contestants from the last two pageants (in 2006 and 2007) will attend the ceremony along with this year’s hopefuls and other guests.
The reigning Miss Seychelles Islands is Solana Domingue of Reef Estate. She took over the crown from Wendy Boniface, who won the title in 2006.
