Her visit will coincide with the Miss Seychelles Islands 2007 beauty pageant to be held on June 2.

Actress Ligia Petit has played in many Venezuelan telenovelas, among them Negra Consentida translated into French as ‘Barbarita, Les Couleurs de l’Amour’, which was screened on Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) TV twice weekly from Monday July 10, 2006 to Wednesday January 31, 2007.

Born on October 22, 1981 in Caracas, Venezuela, Petit, a model, was crowned Miss Venezuela in 2000.

Barbarita’s visit is sure to create a stir among Seychellois telenovela fans just like in April last year when they thronged the streets of Victoria to see Silvia Navarro (Paloma) and Anette Michel (Barbara) who played in the drama serial Cuando Seas Mia (‘When You Are Mine’).
