Covid-19 update |15 June 2021

50 deaths altogether, upward trend over past week

The number of deaths with Covid-19 related illness has reached 50 as of yesterday Monday June 14, 2021.

There are 1,407 active cases, 265 on Praslin and 76 on La Digue.

Out of the cumulative confirmed cases of 13,630, 12,173 people have recovered.

A statement for the Ministry of Health writes that the observed seven-day rolling average of cases per day shows a slight upward trend over the past week.

Members of the public experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 are advised to go to special stations at the following centres: Glacis, Baie Lazare and Mont Fleuri.
