Minister Antony Derjacques, who holds the transport portfolio, held talks with the high commissioner of Sri Lanka to Seychelles, Srimal Wickremasinghe, and the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Georgia to Seychelles, Zurab Dvalishvili, regarding upcoming projects and agreements involving Seychelles and both countries.
The discussion between Minister Derjacques and HC Wickremasinghe focussed mainly on several projects, including upgrading the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) with new equipment, introducing International Funding System and also the resumption of flights by the Sri Lankan Airline.
As for the discussion between Minister Derjacques and Ambassador Dvalishvili, it was mainly about the newly approved memorandum of understanding on Mutual Recognition of Certificates Persuant to Regulation I/10 of International Convention on Standard of Training Certification and Watch keeping Seafarers, 1978 as amended.
