75th Independence Day of India |08 April 2021

Nation-wide painting competition launched

 

India will celebrate its 75th Independence Day anniversary on August 15, 2021. To mark this auspicious occasion, the government of India and high commission of India are organising various cultural events and competitions under the India@75 - AzadikaAmritMahotsav celebrations.

In this series, the High Commission of India in Seychelles, in partnership with the National Arts Council of Seychelles, is organising a painting competition on the themes ‘India and Seychelles’ or ‘What India means to me’. The painting competition is open for all ages and all categories including professional artists and the top prize is R5,000. Artists are free to choose their medium and size of painting. Winning entries will be showcased in an art exhibition to be organised in May 2021.

The entry forms can be downloaded from the high commission of India website or can be collected physically from the high commission office or at the National Arts Council at the Stad Popiler car park.

The last date to submit your artwork along with the entry form is May 10, 2021.
