Leadership changes at Customs Division

The Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, Trade & Investment (MFEPTI), together with the Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC), has announced changes in the leadership of the Customs Division as part of a strategic realignment to strengthen governance and efficiency.

Effective October 1, 2026, Cindy Blakemore will assume the role of Commissioner of Customs. Currently director of the Inland Revenue Unit, Mrs Blakemore has served the SRC for more than 20 years, bringing extensive experience in both customs and tax. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from RMIT University and a Postgraduate qualification in Customs Administration and International Law from Charles Stuart University, Australia.

Paul Barrack, the current Commissioner of Customs, will transition to the role of Advisor to the Seychelles Revenue Commission on the same date.

In line with SRC’s rotation policy, managers within the Customs Division will also proceed on mandatory rotation from Officer to Director level beginning October 1, 2026, with a further round scheduled for January 2027.

The ministry, board, and senior management of the SRC express their gratitude to Mr Barrack for his years of dedicated service and extend best wishes to all officers as they take up new responsibilities.
